The items that are linked to this page include an Open Letter that was sent by "dissident" ex-member Mark Miller in 1985 to all devotees of Adi Da and all subscribers of Laughing Man Magazine, a total of possibly 4-5,000 people.  The Open Letter contains summary criticisms of Da Free John, and went out following a period in April 1985 when stories about Adi Da appeared in the media all over the world, both in the newspapers and on TV. Shortly before this time, Adidam sued a group of six former members including Miller in an attempt to silence them and stop them from talking to the media.

At the end of his Open Letter, Miller invited people to respond back to him, and is known to have corresponded with many members and ex-members as a result.  The selections that follow the Open Letter are personal letters that represent a few examples of that correspondence.  These were previously posted on the Lightmind Daism website and the Shambhala Ken Wilber Forum.
